The Ryan E. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship

The Needham Knights of Columbus Fr. Daniel Kennedy Council #1611 announces its Ryan E. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship program for 2025.  The scholarship is available to any parishioner of Saint Joseph parish, or other Catholic parish, who is a student at:  Needham, St. Sebastian’s, Xaverian Brother’s or Catholic Memorial High Schools, and who is graduating from high school and enrolling in college in 2025.  There will be two (2) $2,000 scholarships awarded.  Scholarships will be awarded to students true to the founding principles of the Knights of Columbus: Charity, Unity and Fraternity.

Scholarship applications are available through the parish office, online at www.needhamkofc.org , or by emailing Phil Bonasia at pbonasia@saintjoes.com.

 

The recipients will be decided upon in mid-May and acknowledged at the Knights of Columbus meeting on June 4, 2025.  The Knights of Columbus Scholarship Committee will select the scholarship recipients, and decisions will be made based on a combination of the student’s accomplishments, essay, letter of recommendation and application completeness.  Financial need is not a consideration, but the student is required to be enrolled in a college in fall 2025.
